Testing Essence Products

Hello everyone,

Firstly I just want to say thank you for all the support on my other posts, so today’s blog is about trying essence makeup for the first time and reviewing it so kind of like a first impressions video but on a blog post, this year it is my goal to try new makeup brands I have never botherd looking at and today we are starting with Essence makeup, so I went and bought all this makeup from Wilkinsons and it was all under £5 so let’s get started.

Foundation: So I actually couldn’t find a primer so I’m just going to start with foundation.

Before use: Just from looking at the packaging I think I am really going to like this foundation, it claims to last 16 hours and has a light weight texture.

After use: I really like this foundation it applies really nicely and it blended really good, it is a lightweight texture I think I will get a lot of use out of this in summer this cost £3.80

Lasting Concealer:

Before use: Now onto concealer this says it will cover under eye shadows, I’m a bit picky when it comes to concealers as I can never find one that I like so I’m not sure if I will like this one.

After use: For me this is an ok product it’s not the best thing I have ever tried and it dosent have much coverage for my liking, I will still use this but I would re buy it, it was £2.50.

Mattifiying compact powder:

Before use: Now we have a powder which looks really good this claims to give a matte and flawless finish which sounds amazing.

After use: I love this product it gives my foundation a nice finished look and it is a lovely matte finish and makes my skin looks flawless I would definitely re buy this product I think it was around £2.

Light up your face luminizer palette:

Before use: Now I couldn’t find a bronzer to try so I had to go for this palette so you get a nude, rose and a golden beige highlighter which sounds good and it also has a little diagram on the back to show we’re the colours go.

After use: I don’t normally like highlighters but these couloirs are beautiful and so easy to blend I would definitely re buy this product and it was only £3.

Silky touch blush:

Before use: This blusher claims to be silky soft and have a fresh look which I think sounds really good.

After use: This is silky soft I love it so much, it looks so natural on my skin and it applies so easily I know I am going to get a lot of use out of this blusher, I think this was around £1.

Make me brow:

Before use: So they didn’t have a huge colour range for eyebrow products so I’m really not sure if I am going to like this product.

After use: I really liked this product, it’s not the best I have ever used but it is good quality, I had to mix the two colours so they went the right colour but apart from that I really like this product it was £2.80.

The metals eyeshadow:

Before use: This product looks amazing it looks like such an amazing colour, this is a baked eyeshadow with a smooth texture I have high hopes for this product.

After use: I love this eyeshadow it’s a really nice soft pink colour it’s not the most pigmented eyeshadow I own but I really don’t mind that as I love it and it was only £2 I would definitely buy more of these.

The false lashes mascara:

Before use: So this mascara claims to give a fuller look with extreme volume and curl which sounds really good to me I think this product is going to be really good.

After use: I am in love with this mascara this gives me so much volume and a really nice full look which I love I will be looking at buying some more mascaras now as this one is amazing.

Before use: So I went for a matte pink colour in the shade 4 just by looking at it I think it looks really good.

After use: I love this lipstick the colour is so amazing and was very easy to apply it is a really nice matte colour that doesn’t need re applying that much and it isn’t drying I am so happy with this and it only code £2.30.

So here is the finished look I am very happy with these products, some I liked more then others but overall I think this Makeup brand is great.

Let me know if you would be interested in seeing any other brand testing posts as I love trying out new makeup.
